VA Services

If you or someone you love is a veteran, we want to offer our most sincere gratitude for your service. Advanced Hearing Systems is proud to be a provider with VA Community Care. Did you know in June 2019, the VA began implementing the Mission Act, which allows veterans to seek care and treatment outside of the VA? There are specific guidelines that have to be met for eligibility to receive hearing aids through VA Community Care. If you meet these specific guidelines, you will be able to receive hearing aids from Advanced Hearing Systems instead of your local VA. Please see the step-by-step guide below for further information!

VA Community Care Guide

  • Step 1:

Schedule an appointment with your primary care provider (PCP) at your local VA. Let your PCP know that you are interested in getting hearing aids through Advanced Hearing Systems under the MISSION Act

  • Step 2:

You and your PCP can look at the eligibility requirements to determine whether or not you qualify to receive VA benefits through The MISSION Act for hearing loss with us. Eligibility may be determined based on one or more of these factors:

    a) A veteran needs services not provided at a VA facility. (This will not apply to the St Louis clinics as they both staff audiologists.)

    b) A veteran lives in a U.S. state or territory without a full-service VA medical facility. Specifically, this would apply to Veterans living in Alaska, Hawaii, New Hampshire and the U.S. territories of Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

    c) A veteran qualifies under the grandfather provision related to distance eligibility under the Veterans Choice Program.

  • Step 3:

Have your PCP initiate a direct referral to us to schedule an appointment and we will take care of the rest!
